Their extensive programs are 200+ hours in length and are approved by the Animal Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) . Provider Spotlight
Josee Gerard, DC
Dr. Gerard obtained her doctorate in chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2001. Her human practice is at Lakewoods Chiropractic in Forest Lake, MN.
In 2005, she received certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy from the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Sturtevant, WI. Current Minnesota statute prevents even specially-trained chiropractors like Dr. Gerard from providing services to animals in Minnesota. So, six times per month she crosses the border into Wisconsin where she provides chiropractic care to animal clients at Valley View Veterinary Hospital in St. Croix Falls (715-483-1551).
You can see her at work on this web site in
"Nina's Trip to the Chiropractor".

Dr. Gerard initiated the effort to broaden access to chiropractic care for animals in Minnesota in 2004. It is thanks to her that a thoughtfully constructed bill has been provided to legislators for authorship and presentation during the legislative session.
