The animal chiropractic bills currently before the legislature are responsive to consumer needs and assure public and animal safety. They...

  • Mandate communication between chiropractor and veterinarian
  • Require specialized training for providers, including training in infectious and zoonotic disease, complementary to that already received in their doctoral program
  • Are based on successful, consumer-focused legislation from Oklahoma
  • Reflect the final recommendations of MN's Animal Husbandry Workgroup

People are increasingly interested in seeking chiropractic care for their animal companions. However, its availability in Minnesota is currently SEVERELY LIMITED.

How can this be? Minnesota prohibits doctors of chiropractic from providing services to animals in need. It even prevents them from working in cooperation with veterinarians on cases where chiropractic care would aid in improving an animal's quality of life.

How do we fix that? Allowing specially qualified chiropractors to provide chiropractic care to animals in Minnesota would have an enormous impact on public access, as would allowing cooperative case management between chiropractors and veterinarians. Seeing that this important change takes place is the intent of this web site.
